Modern Healthcare Ranks 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare – 2010

Modern Healthcare just released it’s hotly anticipated 2010 list of Top 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare.   The program collects information from both the employer and employees and is open to all companies (providers, suppliers, payers) with at least 25 employees.

Employers complete a survey detailing:

  • Company policies/practices
  • Benefits
  • Demographics
  • Employees are asked an in-depth set of questions that result in an analysis in 8 core areas:

  • Leadership and planning
  • Culture and communications
  • Role satisfaction
  • Working environment
  • Relationship with supervisor
  • Training and development
  • Pay and benefits
  • Overall satisfaction

Although lists like these certainly provide additional revenue for the sponsoring magazine in the form of  advertising opportunities for the winners, since the employees were polled directly there is certainly value for the Healthcare IT job seeker to be found in reviewing this list, particularly when comparing offers.  Here’s a link to the list!
