I think that many people often try and make leadership too hard. At the core of leadership is being someone that other people want to follow. That takes trust and hard work. However, it also takes bravery to go out on a limb and be the leader. Turns out that leaders fail and that’s ok. I saw how this type of bravery in leadership was illustrated in this video:
It’s amazing how once the leader was able to get a few people to join him, others followed. No doubt there’s a strong lesson there for healthcare IT leaders.
